Roger Brearley FCSI
After more than 40 years service, Roger retired from full-time management of the firm in January 2004. At that time, he became a non-executive director and continues in the role of Chairman of the company. He joined James Brearley & Sons in 1963, becoming Senior Partner in 1981 and Chairman of the newly-formed company in 1999. He has been Chairman of the Provincial unit of the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and the North West Regional Advisory Group of the LSE. He has also served as a director and committee chairman of APCIMS and sat on the LSE Private Client Committee.
Michael Burnett FCSI
Michael was a partner in James Brearley & Sons throughout the 1980s and 1990s and became a director on incorporation in 1999. He retired from active management of the business in 2001, taking up his non-executive role at this time.
Nigel Corrie
Nigel joined the Firm in 1985 and managed the Kendal office until he became a director of the new company in 1999. He is responsible for the strategy and development of the business and oversees all customer care issues throughout the company.
David Hannis
David has been with James Brearley & Sons since 1986 and managed the Southport office until 1999 when he became director in charge of our Investment Management Division. He has more recently taken over responsibility for all dealing operations, including the company's internet trading platform Icon.
Hal Dial BA BSc ACA FCSI
Hal is a Chartered Accountant who joined us in 1996. He became Finance Director on incorporation in 1999 and is also the director responsible for the regulatory compliance oversight function.
Brian Butler ACA MCSI
Brian joined the Firm in 1999 and is a Chartered Accountant. Since his appointment he has successfully overseen the expansion of our back office administration. He became Operations Director in 2004.
